Signal poor
Mobile signal is poor around my home. There are places in my home where it always cuts off. Certain rooms. When I go near the front door. My home isn't that big it's a standard semi.
Any ideas? Been like this since I've had sky.

Re: Signal poor
I'm afraid both you and I have the same experience. There is much evidence of others too.
I'm sure if you check Sky's coverage map (which is what they will do if you complain) it will show you have good indoor and outdoor coverage. It's entirely misleading and should probably be regarded as an untruthful marketing tool rather than an honest technical evaluation of any signal presence.
I have wasted my time on several occaisions trying to make Sky aware of the discrepency between their map and reality. When they have a moment to reply between sessions extracting money from my bank account they tell me everything is working "OK."
This must mean the coverage (or lack of it) we get is as they have designed it to be.
I can get one bar (sometimes) if I stand on one leg in the wardrobe up in the spare bedroom. If that is what they intend then an honest provider would correct their coverage map to be truthful. Given that they haven't one can only draw the inevitable conclusion.
The signal they use to extract money from my bank account every month seems to work exceptionally well. It can't be the mobile signal they use. If it were, they'd be up the nearest mast fixing it before one could say "no signal."

Re: Signal poor
Sky uses the O2 network which generally has good coverage for calls/texts, slow data is their biggest weakness. However there will always be some areas that are blackspots for a particular network so you may be best trying EE, Vodafone or Three, or a smaller provider that uses one of those networks. Avoid Giffgaff, and Tesco as these use O2 like Sky.
