So got a call today on my sky mobile from a mobile number claiming to sky offering a discount on my sky phone bill asking for my email address stupidly gave it to her then she proceeded to tell me that she was sending me a apple smart watch for free because I had been with sky for over 20 years then I received a text from google saying someone was trying to login to my gmail and the Indian woman on the phone was asking for the password what google had just sent me at this point I didn't give anymore information out she left her name as Neha and her employer number as 2050 very strange.

That's a typical scam - offer a % off usually 40% & a 'free gift'. Once details have been obtained they'll order expensive devices iPhones, iPads usually & once received you'll receive another call which claims they were sent incorrectly & to return them to an address they give or that a courier will call to collect them - they may send a returns label via Royal Mail to return the phones. Should you receive any device not ordered by you then contact Sky immediately & do not send them back to anyone other than Sky.
You could also check your account & change the password immediately & ensure they didn't order anything.
I don’t work for Sky.

Re: Scam call
@JMR57 Sky wouldn't be calling and asking for your email passowrd thats for sure, so sounds very much like a scam call.

Re: Scam call
They try to obtain sufficient details so that they can order an expensive mobile phone under your details which subsequently gets sent to your address. The scammers then recontact you saying they've made a mistake and to send it to a (non Sky) address. They then have the device and you have the bill.
With any unexpected calls from Sky if the caller asks for your telephone password to confirm you're the account holder (which a genuine Sky agent should in my opinion) initially give an INCORRECT one on purpose. If the caller doesn't challenge it then you know it'll be a scam call.

Re: Scam call
I just had exactly this call! It came from an 020 number and when she asked me for my email address I told her I need to do some security checks with her. She said she called customers about their accounts all the time and it wasn't a problem, to which I replied that I don't get calls from Sky all the time so I wanted her to prove who she was. She hung up. I ran a Who Called check and it's so far an unknown number so they managed to get a fake number to make them look like outer London. Nasty people trying to take advantage of people right bed Christmas
