hi all
recently we bought a new iphone and a new sim only the sim only has gone over from O2 to Sky now and up and running, my iphone has been delivered last Thursday and i wanted to take my O2 number over to sky, as a much better deal, they told me the transfer was being done by the 12th Nov, but my iphone (new one from sky) is shpwing im still with O2, i have downloaded a profile and tried to install, but it's so confusing, i set up the new phone via icloud backup, and wiped the old phone thinking that may be the issue, i have my STAC tried to input this and keep getting an erro but it must of worked as i have a text from sky to say the transfer is going over by the 12th can anyone help me please thanks in advance

Keep using the O2 SIM until it stops. Then put the Sky SIM in (it should have the same number).

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @goldfrapp porting doesn't happen at weekends. Also you mention a STAC, hopefully you mean a PAC as the STAC informs your old network that you don't want to keep your old number.

sorry yes i meant PAC when i enter this it keeos telling me there is an error? and they gave me the proting date of yesterday? 12th

also just checked in the phone settings and it's shwoing my number is still O2? would this make a difference and the top of the iphone it shows as connected to O2

Find out moreIf you haven't received an email or text to say the number has transfered then I don't think changing the number will work but with the Sky sim in your phone you could give it a go to see what happens. If it doesn't work then you could call Sky to ask them about the status of the transfer.

As already mentioned porting doesn't happen at weekends so the earliest it will happen will be sometime today or even tomorrow. Use your O2 sim then when it stops working use the sky one.

just took the O2 sim out and put sky back in and still showing as temp number for sky so looks like it has not ported over yet, as you said they dont do this on weekend's just annoyed they told me it would be done by yesterday a Sunday? so i'm inbetween phones now
