SKY Lanzarote - No Service (WARNING)

Put bluntly SKY mobile doesnt work properly in Lanzarote and they wont tell me why.

I went to Lazarote for a week  (25th April 2024 to 30th April 2024).

Before I left I checked on line and it said all i needed to do was switch my phone on and i would be charged £2 a day.

1) When I arrive in Lazarote I switched the phone on and recieved a text from SKY (all good!)

2) About 4 hours later i suddenly had no service

3) Next day i spent 2 hours with SKY's virtual assistant changing every setting known

4) The virtual assistant eventually gave up and said i would be getting a call from SKYs tech team

5) After 4 days of silence (with no explanaition) the service resumed at approx 830pm on 29th April 2024.

6) SKY tried to call me afte the service had resumed.

7) When I got back to the UK I called (i actually called the TV number finding a mobile number is nigh impossible) to ask why becasue I have no confidence in SKY mobile abroad.

😎 All I got was an apology no absolutely no explanaition (that took 2 more hours).

There is a known issue with Spain roaming - I don't believe there's any update yet.

Am currently in Lanzarote and had no welcome text and roaming doesnt work. Tried all the online help as no WiFi in hotel had to go to a bar.  Borrowed my friends phone spoke to useless operators for over an hour and basically told nothing they can do, except maybe resetting my phone and losing everything.  Phone only 5 days old Samsung S24, so will be cancelling contract when back in the UK going to a more reliable network  as a sky customer of over 12years feel disgusted with the way I was treated no loyalty.  Will probably cancel all contracts with sky waste of time money  and worst customer care I've ever encountered.
