SIM Only to Phone and ESIM

Have a SIM only contract with SKY, want to purchase a new phone on a contract with SKY with a smaller data package.  I can order the new phone and data package but how do I then keep and move my number from the current SIM only conbtract?

Not easily.

Any new dataplan you activate will have a new number and will be in addition to your current plan.

The simple option is to not activate any new SIM and move your current SIM to new phone.

Otherwise, the workaround is to activate a new SIM and then port your number OUT of the network and back in to the new SIM.
