Rolled over data to offset contract balance

Due to the new Sky rules regarding piggy bank data I have lost nearly 300gb of data.  This is paid for data, instead of Sky just snatching this already paid for data back, why can't this data be used to reduce the balance on the contract phones if you have one.

All networks 'sell' data with an expiry.  (A 'use by' date if you wish)

Most networks set an expiry of just 1 month but Sky give 12 months.

You can use (limited) surplus data at the time of device purchase because that's the terms Sky have allowed.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
