Hi do I keep my sky roaming and data on or off when abroad, I pay the £2 a day charge but don't know if I need to keep it on or off

If you are going abroad to a country where the £2 charge applies and it doesn't apply everywhere) then to use your mobile both mobile data and roaming needs to be turned on.

What country will you being go to ?

I'm in turkey

That's fine it is a £2 country so every 24 hours you can use your mobile package as if you were at home for £2. The data is limited to 25GB before you are charged for what you use per GB.

Hi @Arlo4  if you don't want to incur the charges on any day then make sure roaming and mobile data turned off in phone settings before the previous 24 hour period ends. I would also recommend putting phone in flight mode and just use free WiFi when available.

Perhaps be aware that Anatolian (Asiatic) Turkey has land borders with several countries where £2 roaming does not apply, and inadvertently connecting to a cellular tower located in one of those nations would be really expensive.  This isn't an issue west of the Bosporus where the neighbours are in the EU.
