Roaming charges

Been charged roaming on holiday with data turned off  ?

Calls can incur charges (including incoming).

Did you make any calls or send any text messages ?

When did you turn off roaming and data, was it before you left the UK ?

It's a rest of world location - so charges can be incurred aside from data.

Hi @Higger  as well as what others have said if you waited until arriving before turning off data and roaming then the phone will have connected to the local network and immediately started using data which would incur charges.

No calls or messages at all was on flight mode then turned off data roaming

It must of connected to the local cellular network - otherwise, how would they know you were there to incur charges?

 

Call Sky on 150 to query it.
