Hey, what was the resolution for this @Kirsty+S27 ? Your post was marked as the answer but it didn't actually answer anything? I had these same problems abroad recently so clearly there was no solution from SKY?

I agree that the only resolution is to leave Sky Mobile. I switched to another network provider last week and my wife will do the same when her contract ends.
Going abroad again later this year and can't afford to be without mobile and data again.

I'm in Fuerteventura now, and having this problem. It's now May 2024. How is this still not fixed?! I really regret leaving 3 for Sky. I'm afraid my phone is going to burn out! The refreshing sim data message is every 10 seconds and it's burning my battery!

Try setting for just 2g then just 3g rather than letting it choose as I suspect the 4g network is the problem. This sorted mine out.

Hi I left Sky because when I got home from hols I still had no texts etc. I managed to get them to let me leave without a penalty so I was happy to just go and so were they tbh. They didn't even argue for me to stay which means they have no idea what the problems are. Now with Lebara - and no problems at all although I had to get Apple to resolve a problem with iMessage. All working now and I will never darken Sky doors again, in any capacity.

Husband is in Naples and can't get signal despite having the roaming passport activated. Interested to see so many other posts saying similar in Europe.

My passport plus is not working and I have huge associated costs just to get my phone to work with is not acceptable.
please can you advise how to get my passport plus to work asap?

Go to settings, mobile roaming on, off, then on again. If it doesn't work go to network if it's on automatic switch it off select the local network that is showing see if that works. If not try Switching your phone completely off, then on again. Also make sure your wifi assist is also on. If all fails call Sky mobile for free whilst abroad.

Android users: with your SIM turned on, follow these steps: Settings>General Management>Reset>Reset Network Settings. This worked for me.

Again no connection after inital 24 hrs - tried everything in Italy this time - last time Cran Canaria- goodbye sky mobile when I return home hopeless

Thanks for this. 2 hours with Raj on chat yielded no solution, just regurgitation of what's already available (and already tried) online. Set your network mode to 3G. Leave it like this and the network should pick you up. Once recognised, you can set it back to automatic and it sticks. Hope it helps as very stressful to deal with when you arrive in a foreign land.

I'm in France and automatic doesn't work on my iPhone but when I unclick automatic and select Orange F under Network Selection my phone works. Try and select a local network under Network selection see if it works.
