You would need to call Sky and ask tjem

to send you a photo of this "damage". I take it you didn't take any action photos  before sending it off to show what condition it was in ?

No typical, thought of that once I got the message from them. Can't understand why they don't tell you what the damage is on account. Thanks for help.

It is another company that handles the returns for Sky but you are right you should be informed on what the damage is which is why all you can do is to contact Sky to see if they have any more information and to challenge tne decision to charge you this fee.
