Refund

On April 28, my phone and sim card contract application was not accepted, but £36 was taken from my account. I haven't received this payment back yet.

It sounds like you may have failed the required (enhanced) credit check(s). See this link for Skys guidance ~

Any upfront payment you’ve made should be refunded after about 14 days but recent posts suggest it’s taking a bit longer in which case you’ll need to call Sky to chase it up.
