Refund for a returned phone

Hi, I’m hoping someone can clarify my refund status.

I returned my Sky device for a refund and was told the refund would take 5 days. Sky’s return portal shows

Received: 18/08/2026 at 15:04

Screening Complete: 18/08/2026 at 15:05

Dispatched: 19/08/2026 at 10:38

The return is showing as “Return for Refund”, but I haven’t received the refund yet.

Could someone please explain what “Dispatched” means in this context, and confirm whether my refund has been approved/processed and when I should expect it?

Not sure what it means but you would be looking at 5 working days for the refund to be back with you if it has been issued yesterday so you have a few days to wait as yet.

Thanks for replying. That makes sense. I wasn't sure whether “Dispatched” meant the refund had actually been issued or whether it referred to the device/return itself. If “Dispatched” on 19/08 means the refund was issued, then I'll wait the 5 working days. I just wanted to make sure that was definitely what the status means, as the portal isn't very clear.
