Message saying 'not registered on network'.

Tried all the online help and can't ring sky for help. 

Also getting a message constantly saying 'updating Sim data,.

I enter my mobile number but then keeps asking.

Why are where are you entering your number as we need more information to figure out what is happening ?

Do you have roaming turned on, this can usually be found under data options.

Have you tried getting your device to search for other networks to see if it will connect to any ?

Yes. There are 3 options and none work. Says your Sim card does not allow

Looked on Sim manager and says " no Sim card', but I have one inserted. Doing the extract same on my husbands phone.

Hi @Maryport1966  what country are you in as there are issues in Spain and Lanzarote with sky mobile that sky are looking at.

Same with me. Landed in Fuerteventura a few days ago, network connected, sky charged me £2 then network connection stopped working. Phone kept over heating as it tried to find a network that it could connect to. To no avail and now it says emergency only calls. It also couldn't get the correct time as it seemed to be trying to suggest I was in Spain, Madrid, so I had to manually adjust to Canary islands!

When I get home I am going to look at moving to another network provider.

We are home now,  but we never resolved the problem.  Like you we got the sky charge message but then no service following the message.  Constantly saying emergency calls only.

Well I have had no luck on forums and have written to sky but no response. However, I have tried switching to 2g connection and I got connected. I got a junk text from Howdens come through so that will now cost me!

I have set it back to automatic, it stayed connected for about 2 mins after suggesting there was a 4g connection  now has lost connection again!!!!

Hi @Flinttas  just for information it doesn't cost you to receive text messages, that won't trigger the £2 daily charge either.

I wouldn't put it past sky though 😉

Btw, for anyone else still not connecting I have set my phone for just 3g (I did initially set 2g then switched to 3g in case you need to go through that process but don't let it auto select), it connected to the Orange network and it has now stayed connected for at least half hour. Even my network time is correct and I don't have to force it to be canary islands and mot Madrid. Fingers crossed this will remain now until I get back home.
