Questions about sky mobile
I have a few questions as I can't find any direct answers to them. I would like to purchase a phone from Sky Mobile and would like to know if sky mobile phones come unlocked already where I can use another provider Sim. Can I cancel my payment plan after 12 months while keeping the phone. Additionally, why is the total cost of the phone not displayed?

Re: Questions about sky mobile
Hi @Tamia16 all phones supplied by sky are unlocked. No you can't cancel the payment plan after 12 months, you must pay the full amount on the credit agreement. If you cancel at 12 months you still have to pay the outstanding balance.

The shortest plan Sky offer is 24 months (Swap12). After 24 payments you own the phone.
Additionally, why is the total cost of the phone not displayed?
Click on 'See payment breakdown or pay in full' and it shows you...

Okay thanks but it's showing me a 12 month plan and a 24-month plan when going to the details

Re: Questions about sky mobile
At 12 months on swap 12 plan @Tamia16 you can send that phone back to pay off the contract and start a new contract or keep the phone and pay the next 12 months (24 total) and the phone is yours.

Not sure if you're confusing the device and dataplan.
Sky dataplan's (if you need one) have a minimum 1 year period.
Device plans are a minimum of 2 years. (Unless you clear the balance earlier)

Re: Questions about sky mobile
So I've chosen the no data plan as I only want the device so would that mean the contract will be for a minimum of two years unless I've cleared the balance . And once I'm finished paying it, I would be free of the contract?

If your contract is for 24 months (Swap12) then once you have finished paying for it you would no longer be in a contract with Sky for the device.

Re: Questions about sky mobile
Hi @Tamia16 yes at the end of 24 months on swap 12 the phone is yours or at the end of 36 months if you choose the swap 24 option.
