Problems receiving text messages

I recently bought a new phone and got a sky SIM. I didn't have a number so I called my partner phone which work fine to get my new number. However not used a mobile for a while so I tried the text and she got it no problems but when she answered the text I didn't get it but some unknown text her saying hello who is this ?? Help needed please obviously someone has the same number

Hi @Jilly04  numbers are recycled after someone closes an account so you could get someone's old number but what you are describing doesn't sound right. I would call sky on 150 and explain what's happened and ask for a new sim and number.
