Possible scam
I received an 0800 phone call supposedly from SKY. Is this a scam call, or a genuine call from SKY?

Re: Possible scam
Did they say they could save you something like 30% off your mobile bill, f so it was a scam call so did you give them any details to your Sky account ?

Re: Possible scam
Hi @FREDD1 there have been lots of reports of scam calls from people claiming to be sky so be very wary. They offer 40% off and a free watch then trick you into sending them back to them rather than sky.

Re: Possible scam
Chances are it's a scam. It usually starts by saying they can offer x% off - usually 40% & if accepted they'll ask for account details. They'll then log into your account (unless 2fa is enabled where you receive a code to authenticate the sign in, in this case the scammer will say they'll send you a code which they need to be able to process the discount) & purchase expensive phones &/or tablets.
They'll then call again when the devices have been received to say they've been sent by mistake & to return them to an address which they give. If this is done a user will be liable for the full cost in most cases.
I don’t work for Sky.
If I have helped then please leave a like.
