Picture message on wifi

Every time I send a picture message on WiFi I get a message from sky saying  I have reached my monthly cost limit . I have set this at just a pound .
why am I being charged for a picture message when I'm on WiFi as I thought being on WiFi would be free .

Hi @djdonk  being on WiFi doesn't matter if they are mms. Any mms would be charged. If you are using WhatsApp or sending iMessages to other iPhones then they come off your data allowance.

Indeed, WiFi cannot carry MMS.  (It's a cellular protocol)

If you want to send such images then use a data-only application such as WhatsApp.  Of course, the recipient needs same.
