Physical SIM to eSIM on Google Pixel 7

I have recently signed up to Sky Mobile and recieved my physical SIM today.  The physical SIM worked fine, I had voice and data, and everything came over correctly.

I then went to convert to an eSIM, which was the whole point of switching to Sky.  The first issue was that the email that was supposed to contain a confirmation code did not: the area where the code is supposed to be was just blank.

I managed to get through the replacement eSIM process and this time received an email which did contain a confirmation code.  The QR code scan did not work with this code but I was able to enter the eSIM code manually and that this work.

However, the eSIM, which is now installed and activated, does not work.  All settings appear correct on it, but "Calls and SMS" shows as "temporarily unavailable", and I can neither make nor receive calls nor text messages - which makes things difficult when trying to interact with Sky's "My Sky" service for further troubleshooting (e.g. I cannot order a further replacement eSIM).

Any guidance or assistance would be much appreciated at this stage, as I am without service.

Hi @MHMH  is your phone the 7a as that's the only 7 compatible with sky esims.

Thanks, that's disappointing and I will probably switch back to my previous provider, but it would be good to at least get back up and running with my physical SIM.

@Greenfingers001 - thanks for reaching out. I'm only seeing this now as I've not been at my computer.

I was able to escalate this further via support and I now have a replacement physical SIM on the way. I believe this topic can now be archived or closed.
