So I've been looking to upgrade my iPhone 11 to an iPhone 14. My contract ended last October and now I pay £14 a month for 20g of data which I don't use. If I wanted to change my data to 5gb it would still cost me £10 a month. However when I go to select a new phone contract the data cost for 5gb is only £5 a month however this offer isn't available if I wish to upgrade my current phone. If I choose to start a new phone altogether do I get to keep my existing mobile number ?

There is a protracted workaround with porting the old number out of the network and back to the new SIM.
