Phone swap damage

Hi,

I am due an upgrade with the swap scheme but my casing is cracked and shattered. On the upgrade questions about damage to my phone, I have said that the casing is damaged. Would my valuation be reduced even though I've declared the damage?

The  glass is falling apart on the back of my iPhone so not sure if 'casing damage' would still cover this level of damage

Hi @Jodie-1  we can't say for certain but from what you are describing then I would say yes there is a good chance the valuation could be lower once sky receives the device and checks it. If the final value is less than what you owe then the difference is added to your next bill.

Re: Phone swap damage

Thank you. Do you think it would be lowered by 50% or more?

Couldn't honestly say @Jodie-1, you do have the option to refuse the offer and get your phone back if you aren't happy with their valuation.

The rough cost to replace the broken rear glass is around £100.  That might give a perspective.
