Phone number

I have upgraded my iPhone but stayed with Sky. On transferring my SIM card from the old to new phone it seems to have activated the eSIM and changed my phone number. The Sky Mobile forum told me I needed to request a PAC number to register the card on my new phone, but on requesting this by text I have received emails and texts assuming I am leaving Sky Mobile and need to pay the balance of the new handset. How do I get my new handset to recognise my old number?

You only had to physically move the SIM from old phone to new phone.  Sounds like you've activated a new eSIM.

I've never seen the forum advise this (Other than to transfer out of the network and back in again to move a number across SIMs).  You cannot use a PAC code within a network.

I think you need to call Sky on 150 urgently as you seemed to have triggered some form of cancellation.  (STAC instead of PAC?)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
