So as far as I am aware all the settings on my phone are set up to receive calls, and yet my daughter's school couldn't get through to me. They said it didn't even ring their end, and went straight to voicemail. This is concerning as I am the primary care giver, and need to be contacted in case of emergency. Does anyone have any advice on how I can resolve this issue?

My son and I were both having the same problem with calls going straight to voicemail or sometimes just not connecting. I telephoned Sky and they didn't seem to know why it happens and really didn't have a solution, so we both turned off voicemail and hey presto problem gone away. We never used voicemail so no problem being turned off, but surely now Sky know about this they should be looking for a fix.

Hi. How did you turn off voicemail. My phone doesn't ring, just goes to voicemail.

I had the same problem, neither changing voicemail settings nor rebooting the phone helped at all. I fixed it by i) turn off, ii) take SIM out, iii) turn on, iv) turn off, v) insert SIM, vi) turn on. I think that this forced the phone to reconnect to Sky network.

I tried resetting sim first then turned off voicemail which worked but obviously leaves no voicemail.

Thanks, worked for me.
Sky couldn't help, tried voicemail off , call forwarding off etc.
