Phone coverage in purley

It is astonishing to see that SKY can keep sending messages for last 2 months saying the network coverage mast in our area is not working.  It will be set right soon.  But, sadly for last 2 months we tolerated this mess without any network at home in todays 21st century! looks like we are back to dark ages without any phone connectivity for over 2 months!

this is sheer negligence from sky and no priority to push for mast replacement or whatever is requried to set this network right in this area.

amaziong how we keep waiting for things to get solved and tolerate such things! without any penalty to Sky

@0d

Sky do not own or maintain any mobile phone masts so they and you are relying on a third party repair.

IT is still their obligation to solve this issue. no where in the world i see this happen and such delays too solve a simple mast issue, which you are saying is due to some 3rd party.  IT is stil problem with SKY coveerage which i am paying and it is theirs to solve! csutomers across country might face similar issues and i dont think anyone tolerates 2 months of no coverage?

also, there is no accountability from sky to resolve issues with SLA? i dont think 2 months is any form of SLA to solve network issue!

I would be surprised is Sky had any SLA with the third party network (O2) in terms of masts.

However, that does not stop the duty to you.  Given the elapsed time you could push for compensation once restored or see if you can leave your contract without penalty.  However, other networks may have the same problem, especially any other MVNO's on O2.
