I have made my first payment for my mobile contract but now for 2 days in a row Sky keeps requesting to take money from my account. Chat bot is garbage and is a mission even finding a number to call, then the ques are a century long so have given up.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @jake135971 did you set up a direct debit then make a payment yourself ? If so then that's why as sky will always try and take your payment if a debit is set up, there is no need to make a manual payment as this happens.

I never setup a direct debit. I used my card, the monthly payments were supposed to be £31 , the first bill was £34 in which I payed manually now for 2 days straight sky has been trying to take £31 from my account.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIf you have provided your card details then it will be from this that the payment will be taken each month.

It says bill payment but continues to try take payment. Going to block future payments at this rate.

If you do that and they can't take it from your card each month then they will suspend your service.

I have made the payment and payment keeps trying to be taken so what do you suggest I do then?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@jake135971 There's no way round this other than allowing sky to take the payment again (failure to do so will cause restrictions) and then either leave the overpayment has credit for the next bill or ask for a refund
as already advised you don't need to make manual payments when you have a card payment setup as doing so causes the situation you are now in every time you do so

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAs I said, they will take the payment then those that you have made show appear as a credit so once you see the credit you have two choices, either leave it so it will be used against a future bill or you can request that is be refunded back to you and help on this can be arranged for you via here. You will not be able to stop Sky from taking it.

Okay, can you refund it then

It needs to appear as a credit before we can contact Sky for you.
Btw, we are customers here and not Sky support.
