Paid bill to reinstate service and sky has cancelled my sim

I owed quite a bit on my sky mobile sim. I was told paying installments wasn't an option and to pay in full to reinstate. I have paid in full today and services are still restricted. I spoke to someone who said my sim has actually been cancelled now and cannot be reinstated. I am now out of pocket with no working phone. Can this be fixed or will I have to buy a new sim and number. I am frustrated as it was a lot to pay and I saved to pay it off since I couldn't do it in installments.

That is correct

If your payments are overdue by 56 days or more Sky can terminate your account.

I am now out of pocket with no working phone.

You still owed Sky the money.

Sky don't allow payment in instalments for arrears. You'll need to call Sky and discuss your options but they may decide you are at risk of defaulting again.
