In Canada, phone won't connect to a network

I've been in Nova Scotia for 10 days and wanted to use roaming passport plus but my phone won't connect to any network. I can't call the sky helpline as a result and can't seem to find a solution. The virtual assistant hasn't helped at all. I have a Google pixel 8 pro.

I am having the exact same problem. Didn't work in NS and isn't working in NB. SOS only after turning flight mode off. 

I've spent two hours with online assistant when I could get on WiFi. Was zero help.

There was an answer posted by a Sky employee on June 24th saying there would be updates. Where are the updates?

No network connection in Vancouver

I arrived in Vancouver, Canada on Monday 11th August 2025. On switching flight safe mode off I did not receive a welcome text text from sky mobile and nor can I connect with any mobile network. I have been through the online help guides (changing network provider, checking MMS and other settings etc.) but no change - still no network not contact from sky. I end up either with trying the community or given a phone number to call sky - which surprisingly doesn't work!

 

Any guidance is appreciated, I'm here for 2 weeks. Thanks

I finally got help from someone on online chat that got right to the issue and it now appears to be fixed. 

For iPhones:

"Perfect, Ok so first thing we need to check is in Settings then go in to mobile service and look for sim applications please find a option called roaming please tap on that, you will then have 3 options that i need to see Automatic, sky settings and partner settings, there will be a > symbol next to one or more of the options what are they set as please?"

 

In my case it was set to automatic and partner settings. It should be >Sky settings. I travel regularly and no idea how the setting changed but it's now working. 

Hope that helps for anyone experiencing the same.

Data roaming - Canada

Hi

 

im in Canada and my data roaming and passport activated on day 1 and now it's stopped working. I've followed all the only support advice but still no joy. Other than getting a different SIM card, any ideas?

No mobile data in canada

I have travelled to canada and haven't received network settings text and cannot use my mobile data.

Abroad in Canada and my phone is not connecting to the network.

Please can someone advise what to do for this issue. My phone was working for the first two days with the £2 a day deal. Now I have tried everything that people suggest and it will not work.

Only have SOS available in Canada

Been in Toronto for 2 days and suddenly I've lost my mobile signal. Only allowing SIS calls. 
Turned off phone, put on airplane mode, data roaming on and still nothing. 
have an eSIM in so can't remove sim. 
tried manually changing newtork but nothing. 
HELP!
