O
Following an upgrade I have a new Sky mobile. My account now shows two data plans. How do I cancel the old plan to ensure I'm not getting billed twice?

Re: O
You need to call Sky on 150 to cancel your other sim, you can only do this if you have been paying for it for 12 months or more. The new sim will have a new mobile number,

Re: O
Thanks for the prompt reply it's really appreciated. I tried calling 150 but I couldn't manage to explain to the call handler that I wanted to both cancel the old data plan and retain the old number. I presume this is possible but it seemed to be in the too difficult to do box !

Re: O
Hi @DJ45 the only way is to port your old number using a PAC to another network on PAYG then port it back to the new sim.

It isn't possible to both cancel the number and retain it because when it is cancelled the number is lost for good.
To get it transferred to tne new sim you would need to get a pac code from Sky to move it to a PAYG network then get another pac code from them to move it back to your new Sky sim.

Re: O
Just as a matter of interest. Would it be possible to keep the old data plan (cancel the new plan) and thereby keep the new handset and the old number merely by transferring SIM
cards to the new handset?

Re: O
Yes @DJ45 thats the simplest way, if you have activated the new sim then you will need to call sky to cancel it.

Re: O
If you haven't called Sky to asked tjem
to cancel your f sim then you can keep using it in your new phone.
If you have activated the new sim then call Sky on 150 as you will need to adk
them about cancelling the new sim, explain to them that you want to keep using your original sim.
