I am having exactly the same problems, it's so so so stressful. I haven't had access to my bank account for nearly a week because I can send but not receive sms. I've tried the sim in another phone and it's still not working. I'm so stressed out I could scream!! I'm ready to leave sky - HOWEVER I can't get a new contract because I can't do an OTP absolutely driving me insane! I could cry! I'm so stressed.

I left and went back to EE as nobody in Sky could solve the issue and it just kept getting moved higher. Even when I just asked them to turn off the parental control (which apparently has nothing to do with it) they couldn't even do that. Wasn't worth the hassle. As soon as I got SIM cards from EE it was all sorted.

When I had the issue I rang and luckily they new straight away when I said I had moved from EE and was having this issue, she said it was a network issue and put it straight up for the manager to look at it and that it would be resolved within 24-48 hours and it was.

This is a real issue. I moved from EE to Sky Mobile (sim only) and I cannot get payments authorised!

I've phoned sky 4 times - new SIM, itll be done in 24/48 hrs - and still not working.

Blaming everyone but their service.

Have you asked for it to be escalated? I can't really remember what they said the issue was but it had to be dealt with by a manager and has to be escalated to be resolved, and I was lucky when I rang that the handler knew straight away what the issue was having dealt with it before and what to do, think it may be a split port though where the porting has not gone through correctly.

This is a joke!

I've been having this problem since going back to sky and I thought it was phone.

Can't add bank cards to google pay because no otp comes through, can't sign into ebay because no otp comes through.

Now I'm trying to contact sky and I need to pass security check with a otp but guess what the code ain't coming through.

Anyone actually solve this?

Not recieving OTP codes

Had to come her for help as sky customer service are useless.

So since joing back with sky from voxi I am not recieving text OTP codes which trying to set up a new device without being able to sign into my apps is becoming a nuisance.

Tried sky customer support several times, tell me a specialist team need to look into and will be resolved within 24-48 hours everytime.

To which I never hear anything back and problem is still there.

Anyone no how to get this resolved

If you have reported this to Sky then it will need to be looked into by them but the timescale they have given you is typical of call handlers but it is more likely to be longer than that. As customers here there is nothing we can do for you via here I'm afraid.

So how long will i need to wait?

  • Been in contact with sky 3 times over the last 2 weeks! This has been ongoing for just over 2 weeks now and not being able to log into my banking or add cards to Google pay etc is slowly starting to cause issues which in all honesty should not happen!

Again as customers here we can't say when they will contract you or fix this but as nothing has happened so far you might want to put in a complaint:

OTP

Not receiving any OTP. Spent over an hour on with customer support no joy! Do I need to switch providers?

If you have transferred your number to Sky and these are not coming through they should have took a report from you so their relevant team can investigate this for you so it might be worth reporting this to them again if they didn't say threat they were going to do this.
