Exact same happened to me, they somehow managed to get into my emails and access my sky acc, changed my password and ordered a phone! It's so sophisticated they do and say everything that an actual Sky agent does. I feel so silly!! I was able to reject the delivery of the phone and am waiting for it to be cancelled..
What worries me is the thought of someone hanging around your house waiting for your phone that THEY ordered so that they can steal it back from you!
Its also not an easy process to explain to actual Sky what has happened or cancel the order, I spent 3hrs on the phone and was severely stressed by it all, going from department to department having to explain over and over again what had happened.
If you need to contact Sky, get the number directly from their website and if someone calls you hang up and call your trusted Sky number.

Hi @J-jj if it's any consolation they dont hang around your house, they send a postman/courier the next day with a returns label for Sky but it goes to them and not Sky.

Which the otherwise legitimate despatch companies involved really ought to be doing more to stamp out. Given the way their logistics are automated and packets are scanned at multiple points, how hard can it be to spot and flag that 'Sky Mobile, 23 Railway Cuttings, East Cheam' probably isn't appropriate as a returns destination for a couple of brand-new iPhones?

If your account is compromised then they can see your address etc.

Yes unfortunately I got caught ... first phone they said was wrong colour and they sent a QR code to take to Royal Mail next another phone arrived this time the wrong make and to send it back once again. I only realise when my bill was double what it normally is. SKY knew immediately that it was a scam, now the money has been taken from my account and will wait 1 month for rebate. I'm sure SKY could put something out there to customers to be aware

It is not. There is obvi6a loophole at sky so scammers are exploiting it. I closed all my accounts and moved to another provider for peace of mind. I was affected by the same scam more than once.

It's much easier to clear off sky contracts untill they sort this issue

Understand what your saying but this particular scam is known to Sky for some time now and a message in My SKY could make customers aware
