No wifi calling on Samsung A34

I have a Samsung A34. Wifi calling has been switched on in Settings. I have little or no mobile phone coverage in my house. Why can't I use my phone to make calls using my wifi?

Hi @JAG16  you probably wont get WiFi calling working as already mentioned, if you didn't get the phone from sky then it's not guaranteed to work, even if the phone itself is capable of it.

Hi @JAG16  did you purchase the phone from sky as that's one of the requirements ?

Hi

 

No I didn't.   When I looked online it stated that the A34 accepted wifi calling and when I looked at my phone settings it stated that wifi calling had been enabled

If you didn't get your phone from us, it might not be compatible with Sky Mobile Wi-Fi calling. To check, set up Wi-Fi calling and try making a call over Wi-Fi. If the ‘Wi-Fi call’ indicator doesn’t show, then your phone isn’t compatible.

Not sure how I even make a call over wifi. My phone is esim compatible and I tried to install and activate esim.  It got half way through but couldn't complete and now I'm stuck with no service at all and unable to complete the installation as the QR code I was told to scan doesn't work!

So how did I now get back to using my normal SIM?  It looks like I am part way through installing an esim but unable to complete.   The QR code I  was told to scan doesn't work and I have no idea how to manually uninstall the esim as the instructions are rubbish.   I am now left with a phone that has no services can't make or receive calls!!

Have spoken to Sky customer helpline.   They will be sending me a replacement SIM in the post.  Hopefully I can then swap out my current SIM for this new one and activate it which should get me back to where i started with a phone that works.   Still doesn't get my WiFi calling resolved though!

Hi, I'm having a problem with WiFi calling from my iPhone 15 pro using iD mobile SIM that has WiFi calling enabled, over Sky Fullfibre (white hub). It all worked perfectly before Christmas, (the mobile phone signal around my home is nearly non existent) but now I can't receive calls over the WiFi for some reason. I can't ring out to get help from Sky or iDmobile and I'm tied to trying virtual chatbots on the apps, which don't recognise my problem (because it's not in their list of options to answer). I'm going around in circles 😵💫
