No mobile Data

Recently ported from Vodafone (3 phones). Two of the phones are rather old (iPhone 7 plus). Once I leave Wi-Fi, I cannot use data on either phone. I manually inputted the APN settings (mobile.sky) as these settings did not automatically load. (There is no "Name" field to input any name).

if I turn phone off and back on, then data roaming works for a short while but as soon as I close the phone it stops. Also, people trying to call me from the UK cannot get through?

I need emails, texts, and WhatsApp for business as well personal use.
I've noticed lots of problems with similar issues, but no solutions as such, unless I've missed something!

[The third phone (iPhone 15) works fine with same APN settings.]

@myliepen

Have you tried requesting the APN setting from your Sky account:

Go to sky.com/networksettings (My Account > Mobile > Settings) and sign in with your Sky iD.
Select the mobile number or SIM name you're having trouble with.
Scroll to 'Resend network settings' and select Request settings.
Save the settings when your receive them and reboot your phone.

Re: No mobile Data

Hi Caesarome,

Thank you for that. I tried to follow the link as you suggested. Unfortunately it came back with "whoops there's been a problem"!! In any case I did manage to find a link to get my network settings updated. I downloaded this, installed and rebooted.
My phone must be older than I imagined! The profile was loaded under "VPN and Device Management".

 It worked perfectly for about 10 minutes! It seems to be an issue with Sky in Ireland. I think I'll just move on from sky to be honest. I've spent too much time that could have been better spent elsewhere!!

Many thanks for your efforts,

Best regards,

M
