No 5G

I've only ever had 5G once in Germany. Never in the UK. I've just upgraded my device and still the same issue. My wife's phone has it, mine doesn't. We have the exact same phone and the exact same contract.

Yes, I've had this problem for over a year now. Assumed it was my phone. Now I've upgraded but it's stilll the same. 5G is on, coverage is good but never get 5G. 

could it be an issue with the sim?

Have you tried swapping SIMs with your wife's phone - that could identify the source of the issue...

I've just swapped and had 5G instantly. Definitely an issue with the SIM card then?? 

It's impossible to speak to an actual person at Sky though.

Sorry, just to be clear...  You put your wife's SIM in your phone and it gets 5G?  What does your SIM do in her phone?
