New upgrade and data plan

I ordered anew handset upgrade and new data plan as there is a good offer at the minute.

I assumed new device would turn up and I would put old sim in and new plan would come in to play.

I have been sent a new sim card aswell and am unsure if I am now paying for 2 plans and 2 devices?

If you activate a new data plan then you will have 2 plans and a new phone number on the new one...

 

You can either:

1. Cancel the old plan and use the new one (with new number)

2. Ask Sky if they'll apply the offer to your existing SIM (but expect them to say no as it's for new SIM's)

3. Activate the new SIM, transfer your old number out of the network and then back to the new SIM

 

...all assuming the old dataplan is 12 months in to avoid early termination fees

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
