New sim not working

I was recently sent a 10GB SIM from Sky. The SIM that is linked to my mobile phone with Sky is 3GB.

I tried to set up the new SIM adding it as a replacement. That SIM card is now in my phone., however when  I log into my account the 10GB SIM still shows as not activated.

I also want to keep my current telephone number

I'm not sure what to do now as I have new Sim in my phone but in Sky account it still appears to be my old sim!

Can anyone help?

Setting up a SIM as a replacement will only replace your 3GB SIM.

You need to activate the 10GB SIM (But can't now if you've used the SIM number as a replacement for your 3GB SIM).  When you active it then it will have a new number.  You will require Sky to send you another SIM to do this.

That's not easy.

Unless Sky are prepared to apply the 10GB offer to your current 3GB SIM then the only option is to transfer your number out of the network and then back into the newly activated 10GB SIM to replace the newly allocated number.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
