Hi
While on holiday my phone wasnt working correctly, continually saying it was over heating ( I was in scotland haha ) saying there was moisture detected in the port etc. Anyways I ordered a new phone and contract. I think I got confused and I meant to do it as an upgrade but dont think I did. I think I just bought a new phone and contract.
The new phone arrives today. How do I go about moving my current sky phone number to my new phone and contract? Can I do this online or will I need to call up?
My current phone isnt working with my SIM right now so I am using ESIM however thats really tempremental so I want me new phone working asap.
Hope all this makes sense. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thank you I will have a little look. I am just unsure if my number will transfer to my new contact. I have new data allowance etc under the new contract. x

You may have had the option to swap but the value may be seriously impaired with the fault(s).
If you've ordered a new dataplan then you don't want to activate this as it will have a new phone number.
(Normally you'd move the physical SIM from old phone to new phone - or transfer an eSIM if converted as detailed above)

No, it won't as I've detailed.
If you activate it then you'll be paying for two dataplans as well. (Your new dataplan will have a new number)

Yes this was my worry. So if I call SKY i may be able to move my number over? I only have about 2 months left to pay on old contract so I knew I would need to pay this off.
I tried to speak to someone on chat yesterday but they made it really unclear.

You can move your number over my following the link I posted for you, it is just if you have been sent another sim it is this that you must not activate.

You can move your number over but it won't be your new dataplan.
Unless Sky are prepared to apply your new offer against your current plan. (They probably won't)
The alternative is convulted and involves transferring your number out of the network and back in again.
