New iPhone 16 pro max

I am trying to transfer data from my old iPhone 14 to my new iPhone 16 max pro.  Both are connected to Wi-Fi which Sky tell me there is a good signal to this address but I keep getting a message that verification has failed.  I can receive calls to the new phone and have inserted my old sim into the new phone.  Any advice would be welcome.
