I have purchased but not taken delivery of a MacBook plus a 5gb sim plan. Both are heading my way but when I was ordering, it was a three step process. 1. Choose the laptop. 2. Choose the sim plan. 3. Purchase the dongle.
I chose the laptop and the sim plan but the dongle was 'out is stock' but I could still proceed with the purchase. So now I have a laptop.. GREAT! WiFi is pretty much all I will need but I thought the option of cellular access (sim) was a great idea but I have no idea if I can use this without a dongle? Please help!

Yes, by 'tethering' over WiFi to a smartphone which itself has cellular data access.
Why Sky feels the need to promote SIMs with Apple laptops that have no cellular functionality is frankly a mystery.
