Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI have a parcel (not a phone from Sky) being delivered by DPD and this is from the company that I placed the order with, so looks like it may be a new feature for all DPD deliveries.
"Please note that you will be asked to provide a PIN code upon delivery. The PIN code will be sent out by DPD in an email and text message on the day of the delivery. The safe place delivery is not available."

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @Tesfa this isn't something I have heard of before but it is showing on the DPD website. I would try contacting DPD to see what they say.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIf it was a new procedure I'd have expected to see a lot more posts on the subject and this is the only one I've seen that mentions it.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Tesfa There's certainly no info on the DPD site about pins being needed, the only thing they need to ask for is ID.
In this case you'd need to contact DPD.
Only Amazon tend to use pins for high value deliveries, which amazon send on the day. Like the other replies this is certainly the 1st I've heard of this.

I have ordered a new iPhone 13 from sky as my old phone has broken any I am unable to use it as the screen is broken. When dpd arrived at my door they said they needed a confirmation code via text which I don't have due to the broken phone and I cannot retrieve the text, what can I do ? Thanks .

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThis has been raised to Sky as this seems to be a new process from DPD and Sky may not be aware.
