My very elderly father has a very basic phone on Virgin. Recently every time I send.him a text he receives it 3 times (at least) and has to delete them to stop receiving any more. My phone says that the message hasn't gone and asks if I want to send it again - even if I don't, it still keeps sending it. Help - we rely on text messages to communicate as he is very deaf!

Today my elderly mother is receiving texts from multiple times, when my phone says my message is not sent. My mum is 86 and in a care home and this confusing her. What the issue never had this until the outage yesterday.

I have the same issue , when texting my mum who has a doro phone she can receive it in excess of 10 times same with my dad it then fills their phones and they have to delete them as they come in due to storage

Unfortunately both my mobile and my wife's tell us that texts sent to my mum have not gone, but they have. My mum receives them typically 3 times. My mum and us don't have the issue with any other numbers,

I still have this problem and it seems I'm not alone? Does anyone have any suggestions? I only have access to my dad's phone when I visit him once a week and my "fiddle time" is limited unfortunately!

@caesarome it's a Google pixel 4a. Sends texts to everyone else absolutely fine - just my father's Doro phone it doesn't like. That was in Virgin network but they've transferred it to O2. Problem has happened in both networks.
