Mobile data

Hey! My daughter’s having trouble getting data while she’s in Costa Rica. She’s got roaming turned on, but it’s still not working. I’ve checked the app and can’t see anything I need to change, and I’ve also called Sky they said everything should be fine. It’s not an issue for this week since she’s using an eSIM, but she’ll be there for a while, so I’d really like to get it sorted.

A local sim would by the way to go.

It's a Rest Of The World destination so very very expensive so could she have reached the spend cap?

Costa Rica is not a £2 per day country as it is a rest of the world one so have she hit the spend limit as she will be looking at charges like this:

£2,160 per GB (yes this is correct)

£2.16 per minute Calls to local or UK mobile and landline numbers

£1.80 per minute to receive calls

£0.50 per text message to UK numbers and mobiles

£0.58 per picture message(MMS)

Re: Mobile data

I actually turned the capiff to see if that would work but still nothing. (I've turned it back on now) she's only been there since Saturday and the cap was on at £50

If she has been using mobile data then she has probably used that £50 up by now...

@Christine1310

The cheapest solution is for her to get a local SIM card.

See this link about the cost implications otherwise
