Mobile contract expired

Hello, my sons mobile contract expired on the 17th July. I've got him a new contract but how would I go about cancelling the old one and putting the old phone on a sim only deal for my youngest son?

When you say the contract has ended, do you mean on the phone so it has been paid off or against the sim ?

The phones fully paid off. Im paying for the data, texts and minutes still.

Then you are now a sim only customer so you don't need to do anything going forward or have you ordered a new sim ?
