Mobile bill
My bill is £20 more than usual, the charge is from 'using' data in Tunisia. However the charges were from automated text messages you receive when entering a country, therefore I don't want to be charged this £20 for usage I haven't used.

Re: Mobile bill
Were you roaming near Tunisia? £20 isn't from receiving tariff messages.

Re: Mobile bill
When you were in Tunisia did you use your phone at all as it is a rest of the world country where these are the charges:
£2,160 per GB (yes this is correct)
£2.16 per minute Calls to local or UK mobile and landline numbers
£1.80 per minute to receive calls
£0.50 per text message to UK numbers and mobiles
£0.58 per picture message(MMS)

Indeed, but just tiny amount of data usage will incur the charge. (Your phone probably generated the traffic without you being aware)

Re: Mobile bill
Right. I'm not very happy that I'm being charged £20 for usage that I haven't used. As soon as the tariff message came through I turned my roaming off which was less than 1 minute after turning aeroplane mode off

But your device did...
Go ahead and call Sky to see if they will apply any goodwill but expect to be told the charge is correct.

Re: Mobile bill
To avoid such charges you should have turned mobile data and roaming off before you left the UK because as stated above your mobile might have connected and some data was used even in that minute or so it was connected.
