Mind blown in teneriffe

I arrived in teneriffe 2 days ago to the usual welcome to Spain and the £2 a day roaming text....so i though great no problem...now let's enjoy the holiday....10.mins later I received a text saying they couldn't apply the roaming as I would exceed my spen cap..( I don't have  aspend cap never had and never will) tried the usual knocking the phone off and on..no joy...rang sky and have been passed from pillar to post over the last 2 days all telling me to remove the sim and put it in my wife's phone and hers in mine and the sim dosnt work in the wife's but hers does in mine....so i can only use the phone on WiFi in the hotel etc....absolutely snookered and all they keep telling me to do is the same thing....please help is the anyone I can speak to in the uk who can understand as the representatives I'm getting don't understand as ther is a clear break in the language barrier...

Hi @Cav  look here for troubleshooting help. Also check both roaming and monthly spend caps.

Hi and thanks  for the tips...they've gone through all the spend caps when on the phone to the sky reps and its made no difference....I've recently upgraded my phone to this fold 7 from a fold 5 which came abroad with me 6 times with no issues .....it seems like it's obviously the sim card which isn't working or been set up correctly by sky....the worst thing is the is no one on the phone who clearly understands the issue..they tell me to ring back and obviously I can ont make calls...im at a point t of returning the phone and cancelling the contract due to them not suppling the services promised

@Cav 

Whilst your device should work there Sky, and indeed other UK providers cannot / do not guarantee service abroad.

Aye i get this mate, but its the lack of response from.the apparent technical team that's the problem...if i could speak to a uk sky tech guy and explain and they would clearly understand my issue and try to resolve it ....this clearly isn't happening here and it's spoiling our family holiday which is the main issue as most things use apps which I cannot use outside the hotel

Calling from the UK or abroad all calls are forwarded to the next available agent wherever they may be based. There is no direct path to speaking to a UK based agent.
