Mast broken 3 weeks
Hi .
I've just got mobile coverage back after 3 weeks on my sky mobile. It was a mast fault which affected a few providers.
Now asking for compensation i got told im getting £3.92 but he gave me £5. Lots of other providers are giving anything from £10 to £20.
Its not really about the money but the inconvenience .
I thought mobiles dont come under the compensation scheme and its more goodwill but someone has said this.
Unfortunately you were duped. Sky offer the same as Vodafone. 30 days unlimited data plus full months rental foc until resolved. If you go into well 5 by even 1day, then you get another 4 weeks (30 days) as above.
So which is true , no compensation just goodwill or as above.
Any help appreciated.

Re: Mast broken 3 weeks
Unless something has changed very recently unlike with broadband there is no automatic right to compensation due to a mast fault.

Where did you see that?
Sky don't own or maintain any mobile masts so if there is an issue you and others in the area were relying on a third party fix.
Unlike Broadband and Sky Talk (where auto compensation is applied) there is no obligation for Sky to apply a good will credit.
