Hi all,
I ordered a Macbook Pro 14 inch M3 Pro 1TB on May 31st which said delivery in 1-2 weeks but a bit concerned now as the entire page for the product has been removed. Only the standard M3
is still available.
Weirdly enough I checked yesterday and both colours of the 512gb were in stock.
Has anyone else ordered this model and is still waiting? I've taken out a credit agreement and made my initial payment so they couldn't cancel this right?

Under my Devices it has the MacBook as one of my listed products, and on mobile home it reads 'Currently on Back Order'.
But in the link you've sent it says:
"You don't have any active orders
It can take a couple of hours for orders or visits to show. Check back later. But some orders or visits can't be shown here."

150 is the free number to use from a Sky Mobile or Sky Talk phone otherwise under "Need more help ?" link at the bottom of the page on this link is the number to call Sky on:
When you do call say nothing when the bot speaks to you about what your call is about as it should then route you to somebody.

I called them and they said that because it was on 1-2 weeks when I placed the order they've already notified the supplier that the order would need to be fulfilled so it won't be cancelled or anything. The reason it may not be on the website any more is due to high demand and not being able to take any more orders on. Reassuring at least. Hopefully receive it by the end of next week without any issues.

Hi @ss8 ! Did your MacBook end up being delivered? I'm in the same situation now and I'm also concerned that the order will be cancelled. I called them and they said they don't have any updates to share but that the situation isn't filling them with confidence! They mentioned something about potentially having to switch to a different product which is unfortunate, but I suppose these things can happen sometimes as frustrating as that is for the customer.

Hi!
Mine still says on back order and no updates as of yet. I was filled with a bit of confidence from the 2 or 3 previous threads about the same product and how people were waiting despite no clarity from calling and eventually they got changed to dispatched after about 2 weeks.
I'm still clinging onto hope that they told me over the phone that the order has been placed already with the distributor before it was unavailable on the website so I need not worry.
It's annoying as a hard search was done our files and I don't think I'll be able to buy another one. Additionally, nobody else seems to be offering such a good deal like Sky are for this product. I've also (perhaps mistakenly) bought accessories in anticipation for it to arrive so I would be even more annoyed if the order does get cancelled now.
Did they clarify further on the "situation"?

Also when did you place your order?
11 Jun 2024 12:11 PM
So I just got off the phone with Sky as I was filled with a bit of dead and they said the order will not be cancelled. I mentioned that someone on the Sky community spoke with someone and were told of a "situation" which could mean a change to different product or cancellation and he went to check with his team. He returned and clarified that it definitely will not be cancelled as it's being processed and that it'll be delivered within 1-2 weeks. I asked for clarification if he meant 1-2 weeks from now (which I wouldn't mind, as long as I get the product lol) or from the time of order, and he said from the time of order. So hopefully by the end of the week we'll have some good news! A bit worried now though I have to say, but again I'm relying on a bit of hope from previous threads and people being in similar situations.

Thank you so much for the fast reply @ss8 I really appreciate it! Sorry for the incoming long reply
I also placed my order on May 31st, but noticed like you mentioned that shortly after the entire page disappeared for that particular MacBook.
I too have been keeping an eye on these community threads in hopes that my situation will be resolved happily like many others. My 1-2 weeks estimated delivery time hasn't entirely passed yet but will by the 14th, which is this coming Friday. Hopefully I am just being too eager and it will actually arrive in or a little bit after the given timeframe.
It's because of the lack of info / updates in general that I called customer service, and as lovely as the staff were, I didn't feel particularly reassured by their response if I'm being honest. The person I spoke to said that they weren't 100% confident in Sky's ability to fulfil the order at present and this is when they mentioned a similar situation that occured with an iPad pro model they had? The product page was also taken down after customers had already placed orders and they said Sky had to contact people to either cancel or switch them to a different product if they wanted to.
I was also looking into buying accessories / a Wacom tablet in anticipation of the delivery but I'm holding off until I have the MacBook in front of me. Hopefully you won't have to return anything you already bought and all will be well!
I'm sorry if I caused you to panic by sharing details of my conversation with customer service - it seems their responses aren't very consistent. The person I talked to advised me to wait until the full two weeks are fully elapsed, and scheduled a review phone call for this Sunday. This is to confirm whether or not it has been delivered, if it still looks likely to happen, and if not to discuss an alternative. In the meantime they said they'd look into it more and try to find out what's happening. Like you I am happy to wait if the MacBook will definitely arrive eventually, and fingers crossed they will!
The last thing I'll mention is that the customer service agent said that sometimes if a product is unavailable through Apple themselves then orders are delayed or eventually cancelled. I checked Apple after the call and the M3 pro are available, stating delivery dates between June 13-25 depending on model. I found that more reassuring than anything as if they are actually available and we've signed contracts to purchase the product surely they will manage to fulfill the orders.
Apologies for the extended yapping, I hope at least some of this was helpful for you (and anyone else experiencing this)!

No apology required! Thanks for such a comprehensive response. It's also good to be aware of what others are going so not to be surprised if the unexpected does happen.
Reassuring that you also ordered on May 31st! Our 2 week mark should both be on June 14th so hopefully we can get some good news by then. I'll keep an eye out and let you know if anything changes on the 'currently on back order' status and please let me know if it does for you too. I'll refrain from calling them again until after June 14th now I think as it's not really worth the stress and they're not really going to be able to change anything from their end.
From what I've read on here and the various threads, it seems that the advisors don't tend to have much more information than what's available to us on their app but it's slightly alarming/worrying that they seemed to go into a bit more detail with you and even referenced a previous case with the iPad. I think if it comes to it, and they need to consider other options with me, personally I will request to just be in waiting for it until they are able to fulfill it as long as it is not month and months. I really don't want a standard M3 or a 16 inch M3 Pro which are the only other options!
Keeping my glass half full for now!
11 Jun 2024 01:42 PM
You're very welcome and thank you too!
I definitely will keep you updated. I'm of the same mind, I'm not sure I'd be as happy with the M3 or Air, as the specs on M3 pro were ideal for me. I woudn't be entirely opposed to the 16" version, but it's a bit extreme for what I'd be using it for!
12 Jun 2024 03:11 PM
So I've done a bit of digging on Twitter about people who contacted Sky in the last few months about ordering a MBP M3 Pro model who initially saw it'd be within 1 week or 1-2 weeks but heard nothing when the date came, and in a few cases it appears that they got it about 2-3 days over the "expexted" date. No news today, but a bit of reassurance if we don't hear good news tomorrow or Friday.

Ah that's a hopeful bit of info, thank you! It also seems to be the case for many customers on these forums. I still haven't seen a change from "in progress - coming soon" either so far.
It does make me wonder why they take orders / establish contracts for products if they're unsure about actually obtaining the items - it seems quite a few customers are having this trouble even with other products like pre-order phones / iPads etc. You'd think if it was such a common issue they'd look into avoiding repeating the mistake!

I've contacted SkyHelpTeam through DM to see if they may provide any other information or more clarity. I'll let you know what they share.
Where does your order say "in progress - coming soon"? Mine only has any information under devices where it has a small symbol saying "currently on back order".
Totally agree. Part of me even regrets perhaps not going with the 512gb model and just living with more external storage as it was in stock at the time and also available in silver which I preferred.
