Leaving Sky TV - still got Sky sim

My sim provides free calls and texts. Will this end when TV contract ends?

Your Sky Mibile sim is separate from your TV service so everything will continue as it is now for you.

Hi @jabez101  it used to be the case that if you had sky TV then the old £10 charge for calls and texts was waived but I believe that is now gone and you no longer need sky tv to get the free calls and texts.

Hi @63johnw, that was my understanding and that's why I queried it.

 

Sky always say that 'Sky customers' receive free calls and texts. I understood the phrase 'Sky customers' meant those with a TV subscription.

 

Although my TV ends next week, I haven't heard anything about my (sim only) sim contract.

As above, the initial promotion for unlimited calls/texts was for TV customers, i.e. it was £10 discounted to £0.  This was removed a while back as it wouldn't be competitive nowadays, i.e. all Sky SIMS are inclusive free calls/texts (within the conditions).

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own
