My sky bill is wrong, I swapped my device and I was told if I signed the contract on the Thursday I would not be charged for the bill on my iPhone 16 pro.

Your post isn't very clear. Payments continue for devices sent back as part of a swap until such time as they've been processed, checked for damage etc and the value confirmed.

Also if you owe an outstanding amount on the phone due to the value given isn't enough to pay it off then the balance is added to the next available bill after it has been inspected.
