Investigating using data, but lost it before checking out

I was looking to use some of my data to take £10 off the upfront cost and I selected it but then decided to look at another phone and never checked out.  Made my decision but it has used 50GB of my data and now I can't get the discount.  Why did this happen before I checked out and completed it?

Not sure any of us customers can say what has happened and for why so you will need to speak to Sky about this,
