I still have a temporary mobile number

I got a temporary number with my new sky mobile, however was keeping my old number so used the PAC code etc and out everything into my new phone. A few days later I got a text to stay my number had returned to my old one, however it hasn't its almost as if my phone has both number? I can recieve calls for both numbers, however I'm not recieveing texts, anyone know the change hasn't worked properly??

Try to reset your network settings. When you port a number from one provider onto another it is recommended to do a network reset as the temp number saved on the device as a primary number but the network reset helps the device to re-detect the number assigned to the sim.

It depends on the kind of phone you're using. 
For apple:

- Go into settings 

- Tap on general

- Tap on Transfer or reset iPhone.

- Tap on reset.

- Tap on reset network settings. 
follow through from there. 

but android is very different so I'd recommend googling "How to reset network settings on 'Android brand'".
