I cannot activate the sim

I ordered a new sim as I have lost the previous one but I cannot activate it- I cannot make any calls I cannot get throuh any human assistant over the internet to sort the problem either - I am stuck and very stressed at the moment - I am so regretting to renew my contract with Sky now...

A few questions;

 

Did you order a new sim or a replacement for the lost one ?

What is hapening when you try to activate it ?
